Kristin Fisher was added to the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. As a correspondent, she is in charge of covering all things from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. As the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts, Kristin was raised in the industry of space. She was a part of the space industry for five years, covering the Trump and Biden Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. In her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus as well as two different administrations' efforts. Additionally, she traveled with President Trump and Vice President Biden often. It included a secret visit to Afghanistan. Before being hired by the channel in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Using her skills on the set, Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014, which was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients, such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors of Science of Journalism at Boston University. She and her husband reside and their two children in Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
