Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She's an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation often. She joined ESPN in 2016. joined ESPN. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old, a valuable talent that enabled her to get her first job working as an assistant to the producer with Univision in Miami which gave her the chance to collaborate with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her next assignment was an Sports Reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. Then, in 2009 the reporter relocated from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. In 2009, she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas and became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. She was also often asked to serve as anchors for the weather and sports. In 1992, the couple divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she was remarried Fabio Fajardo who was an engineer in the naval sector who passed away in the year 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. In June in 2006 she spent a week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked there. Antonietta still a senior at high school, yet she knew exactly what career path she was looking for. So while assessing if Mount Union was right for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the school. She discovered that she enjoyed the university as well as the fact that it provided the degree she was looking for. She graduated from school and was went to the university as a media studies major. Her professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was member of her class, formed an ongoing relationship with her. His passion for journalism and her self-confidence inspired her. In turn, she was determined to achieve his standards and not let him down.
